Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed is an Indian soap opera that airs on Zee TV. It premiered on 20 May 2013 airing Monday-Friday at 10:30 pm. It replaced the season 1 of Punar Vivah Divya (Rubina Dilaik) has decided to quit the show as the production house had no space for her in the plot.
Plot[]
The story is of two old lovers Raj and Divya who due to circumstances are separated. After 10 years, Divya now a popular TV actress returns to Bhopal to meet her love Raj for whom she waited for 10 years, but comes to know that Raj is married to Sarita. After knowing this Divya thinks that Raj has moved forward in life and she also decides to marry Gaurav, but she does not know that in 10 years of Raj and Sarita's marriage they did not have any real husband wife relationship. Sarita when gets to know that it is Divya who is Raj's lover challenges her to first settle her married life and then settle her married life with Gaurav. Divya accepts this and promises Sarita that she will make Raj love her. Divya comes at Raj's house to stay and tries her best to bring him close to Sarita controlling her emotions.
TRP ratings[]
The show opened to a TRP of 1.8 beating Sony TV's popular show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, but showed a huge drop of 1.4 in its next week. Currently it is gaining TRP's from 0.9-1.8
